As a new Christian, I discovered Focus on the Family's broadcast and therefore Dr. Dobson. He was such an integral part of our parenting. Raising three boys was hard but Dr. Dobson's radio program and books helped us shape them into Christ loving men. From childhood to the teenager years, Dr. Dobson helped us be better parents and even better husband and wife. I even have the story he wrote about his mom and dad printed out. Such a love story that touched my heart and I'm sure so many others. Dr. Dobson, I'm sure you are in the presence of Christ right now and I believe Jesus will say to you, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

The impact Dr. Dobson has had on our family is incalculable! With two strong-willed children his words and books were so necessary in helping us cope! His passing is a loss to us all still here on earth, but he is HOME and so happy in Jesus!

Dr Dobson shaped my life and, therefore, my children's lives for years (though kids aren't currently walking with Jesus). I am so sorry to hear he is gone, as we are losing so many vital leaders in our country lately. I look forward to meeting him in heaven to personally thank him. Dr. Dobson was a daily voice in our home as we raised our 3 children in our home. His wisdom and truth still resonate in my heart today as I assist with helping with my grandchildren. Jim Dobson was a true servant of the Lord and I am grateful for his life well lived. Shirley and his family will be in my prayers during this time.

I first became familiar with Dr. Dobson's work a little more than 50 years ago. Dr. Dobson will be remembered and his life here on earth appreciated for generations to come. What a blessing to know that he will forever be with our Lord and Savior for all of eternity.

His impact on our marriage of 49 years and raising our daughters is immeasurable. My husband and I had two small girls and added a son to our family three years later. Dr. Dobson helped raise our children! I can't imagine my life without the influence of Focus on the Family. I began listening when I was 13 and still listen to this day. Dobson helped me be a better son, student, athlete, husband, father, and friend. Joy and I were just talking about all the heroes of the faith that have passed in the last 5 years. What a legacy.

I feel I have lost a valued member of my family today. My father wasn’t a Christian nor involved in my life. My husband’s family was very broken also. We had our first child not knowing how to even raise or care for them. Thankful for our church, the ladies in the nursery and Dr Dobson for helping us raise three amazing humans who love and serve the Lord. My husband is in heaven also now. I imagine he looks forward to conversations with a hero of our faith. Praying for the family and Miss Shirley.

I spent a lot of time up at the Focus on the Family campus and was a volunteer in Hawaii because of Dr. Dobson's ministries. His books and radio show helped me raise my son and helped me to be a better Christian. He is now sitting in the loving arms of Jesus now.

I’m was an avid listener to Focus on the Family back when my kids were young!! I loved Dr Dobson and all his wise words from God and his love for others!! I just watched the special video you put out in memory of him. When someone called him a dad to them, I realized that is exactly what he was to me. I had a father I loved dearly but Dr Dobson was a mentor and wise father figure that I trusted and knew I could have faith in all his wise words because they came from God!!!💕

I have never met Dr. Dobson, his precious wife Shirley, or his adult children in person, but I claim them as my family! When I read Dr. Dobson is with his Lord and savior, I was shocked but them so happy for him! He has run his race and completed his assignment here on earth. I am praying for Shirley, her strength and determination to continue her race until Jesus calls her home. Began listening to Dr. Dobson probably in the early 80's. I leaned so much about every aspect of the family, ordered things from Focus and became a monthly partner. I still give to Focus and to the ministry he began after leaving Focus. The Lord used Focus to help me grow in my walk as a Christian! One day well after Focus left California, I was driving on the 10 freeway, headed East and saw a Focus sign. All the years I listened before the internet and the computer; I had no idea they were so close to me. My heart is a little heavy but there is joy! There are his many books, film footage and memories of this God-fearing man. I will miss him although I never met him. Wow it is amazing a person can leave an imprint on one's heart. Dr, Dobson, you did well, and I know there was a big party for you when you entered in. The Lord will keep your precious Ms. Shirley and one day she will be ushered before the throne room!

Rest in peace, Dr. Dobson ... surely you are dancing on streets of gold now ... with our Lord looking on and smiling as he says, "Well done my good and faithful servant!"

Truly our lives were changed because one man said yes to the Lord using him for his Glory. Thank you Dr. Dobson family for sharing him with so many. Our hearts will always have a special spot for Dr. James Dobson! His wisdom and love for God was a gift to me through the airwaves!

In the early 1980's we were reading Dr. Dobson's books while raising our young girls, still toddlers. We also have memories of a video we watched at our church where Dr. D told the story of a young boy hanging onto a fence or something and the young lad kept saying, "somebody help the boy," which may have been on the subject of prayer - this waslike 45 years ago. He was our family champion on great Christian/Biblical advice. We did have a "strong-willed" child and I think my wife ready that one 2 or 3 times.
